What 2016 has taught me so far

2016 has so far been a changing year for me! I myself feel like a new and improved version of me. I feel very in control of my life at the moment, but not too much control! I made some goals for myself for the year and I feel as though I have been living up to them. I wanted most of all this year to be a happy and better version of myself and I feel like I have done that and its amazing how much it helps when you think positively about yourself and your own life.

I decided to choose to be confident in myself and love myself. And one huge part of that was removing negative energy in my life and bringing in more positive energy. Getting rid of the negative cleared my mind and my thoughts so much. Its amazing when you are looking to the past and see how you let negativity cloud your views on life.

I also decided to choose to do what I want to do, I love being with my friends and I love being with my family and I have been working hard on spending quality time with people and truly enjoying that time. Spending time with family means so much to me and I have put lots of effort into being with them as much as possible. Although I go to school close to home it makes it difficult to make it home often because I run on such a different schedule than my family, but I realized finally that going home doesn’t have to be forever, even a dinner or a coffee date with someone means so much.

The biggest lesson 2016 has taught me is to enjoy the moment and be grateful for all you have. This quote below speaks to this lesson:

I have this quote hanging in my room at home and it speaks to how we should all look at our lives. Love what we have, no matter how much or how little.

I know this was a very random post but sometimes I get a spark and have to act on it, hope you enjoy and let me know how your improvements in 2016 are going.

xoxo Kate
